In the first half of this year, the building materials industry in general showed a slowdown in the growth trend, the value added is lower than the industry, manufacturing industry, operating income, profits have declined, the industry faces greater pressure to stabilize growth. Building materials industry slowdown in the current growth of both downstream demand is insufficient, but also industrial structure adjustment is not enough reasons, the current building materials industry growth is still mainly rely on traditional industries such as cement, cement and cement products revenue accounted for nearly 40% of the building materials industry revenue, inorganic non-metallic new materials and other new industries accounted for a relatively low percentage. With the transformation of the development mode, the demand structure upgrading, building materials industry has entered a new stage of development mainly characterized by green and low-carbon, cement and other traditional building materials demand showed a steady decline in the trend of green building materials, mineral functional materials, inorganic non-metallic new materials and other emerging building materials industry to speed up the development, which is the inevitable trend of structural adjustment of the industry.

First, expand effective investment, promote industry transformation and upgrading. Support the integration of production, accelerate the high-end, intelligent, green transformation and upgrading of the building materials industry, accelerate the construction of new materials and other key projects. The second is to enhance the effective supply, stimulate new momentum of growth in the industry. Organize and carry out the building materials industry to increase variety, improve quality, create brand "three products" action, focus on promoting bulk product upgrading, focusing on new energy and other areas of demand, and enhance the supply of new materials. Third, the promotion of green building materials, planting the concept of green consumption. In-depth development of green building materials to the countryside, expanding urban green building materials to promote the application of green building materials, promoting the synergistic development of green building materials and green buildings, improving the green building materials product certification system, fostering the concept of green consumption, and enhancing the level of green consumption. Since last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a green building materials to the countryside activities, how effective are the activities, and how to promote the development of green building materials industry in the future?

Xingtao: Green building materials refers to high-quality building materials with the characteristics of "energy saving, emission reduction, low carbon, safety, convenience and recyclability".2022, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Market Supervision, the National Rural Revitalization Bureau and other six departments jointly launched the green building materials to the countryside activities. Up to now, we have approved 12 pilot areas for the activity, such as Zhejiang and Shandong, and encouraged conditional places to promote green consumption through consumption vouchers and other forms, encouraged backbone enterprises to provide more cost-effective products, and encouraged e-commerce platforms to set up special zones for green building materials products, which effectively promotes the development of the whole industry chain of green building materials production, certification, circulation, application and service. According to preliminary statistics, from January to July 2023, the business revenue of green building materials and the sales of e-commerce platforms have increased by more than 20% year-on-year, and 4,400 certified enterprises have been included in the scope of activities, and a total of 7,698 certificates have been issued for the certification of green building materials products, which have increased by 1.6 times and 1.2 times compared with the same period of last year, respectively.

In order to accelerate the development of the green building materials industry, we are working together with relevant departments to study and formulate the Action Program for High-Quality Development of Green Building Materials Industry. It is intended to focus on three aspects to guide and support the development of the industry. First, promoting industrial transformation. Accelerate the development of assembled, componentized and functional green building materials products suitable for different application scenarios, and develop new green building materials products. In areas with a good development foundation, relying on advantageous enterprises, fully utilize local resources, develop green building materials according to local conditions, and create a number of green building materials production clusters. Second, accelerate the application of expansion. Promote the synergistic development of green building materials and green buildings, and accelerate the popularization and application of green building materials in government projects. Continuously carry out green building materials activities in the countryside, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties, strengthen the upstream and downstream linkage, and improve the convenience and selectivity of rural consumption. Support the development of green building materials rural application typical demonstration, encourage the transformation of agricultural buildings, agricultural infrastructure and other first use of green building materials. Third, optimize industrial ecology. Improve the standard system of green building materials, promote the formulation and revision of green building materials evaluation standards, accelerate green building materials product certification, and promote the interconnection of green building materials product certification data and related credit application databases. Increase publicity and promotion, cultivate the general public's green consumption concept, and enhance the level of green building materials consumption.
